Pre-Christmas Snow Threatens Winter Weather from Washington to Philadelphia

A weather system that passed through the Upper Midwest on Monday will move into the Northeast overnight and into Christmas Eve, delivering more snow to places from Wisconsin to Maine and assuring a white Christmas for millions in the northern United States.

The winter weather may cause hazardous travel conditions in major cities along the Interstate 95 corridor in the mid-Atlantic. This comes only days after a powerful clipper system and a coastal low dropped multiple inches of snow throughout the Upper Midwest and Northeast.
